The Dreaded Eye Appointment

We are headed to get Garrison's eyes checked with a specialist tomorrow.  Please pray that for some reason the test at Dr. McDonoughs office was all wrong.  Also pray that the experience will not be too traumatic for all of us.  Luckily Ryan took a half day off so I don't have to go by myself- I am not a big girl when it comes to these types of things.
It just hit me that I didn't write anything about Garrisons eye diagnosis.  His nurse called late last week to tell us that his results were back from his eye exam- so I was expecting to hear- Garrisons eyes are great see you at his 1 year appt.! But instead she said "Mrs. Little, will you grab some paper and a pen you have some things to write down".  It was at this moment that I began to FLIP OUT!
If you know me you know that I am an overly emotional person, and when something goes wrong, especially having to do with my family I tend to (lets be honest, I do) fly off the handle and all reason goes out the window.
Any way the nurse proceeds to tell me that Gar has moderate farsightedness in his left eye and that his eyes see differently.  One is the farsightedness and the other seems to be seeing blurry. So at this point I am BALLING and reason is flying out of the window.  The poor nurse kept saying, "really its ok, it can be fixed with glasses."  All I could mutter back was- "I know, (sniff, sniff, sniff) I just want the best for him...I'm sorry Im crying, Im pregnant again." What was I thinking? I know for a fact she wrote on my chart "Do not contact mom, call Dad first".
So, any who we are going tomorrow to have some more extensive tests done to make some sense of all of this.
Shoot- I just realized we have to be there at 8:45 and that is right smack during nap time- this should be interesting!

9 month update!

Last Thursday was a very big day for the Little family! For starters Garrison had his 9 month well baby check up.  We were so excited to go and see how much our "big boy" had grown.  Garrison now weighs 22 pounds and is 29 inches long, 75 percentile for both.  I can not even believe it! He was so tiny just 9 months ago! Now he is crawling (finally for real crawling), pulling up, standing on his own and talking non stop!
Also, while we were at the pediatrician Gar's dr. said "this baby needs a haircut"!  So I finally gave in and let Ryan cut Garrison's BEAUTIFUL hair.  As you all know, I have been putting this off for months now.  I love my sweet baby's hair.  I suffered nine months of heart burn for that hair!  But I must admit his new do makes him look very handsome and like a little man.  No worries though, not only did I save a lock I saved every piece that hit the floor!
Also on Thursday we had our first appt. with Dr. Dawkins for the new baby, "bug".  Yes, we are having another baby- insert joke here ("Don't you know how that happens", etc. etc.)  We had an ultrasound but Bug was too small so we didn't get a definite due date.  We are about six weeks along and think we will be due March 19.  I go back next Thursday for another ultrasound.  The poor baby is probably going to come out glowing! Well, I think that is all the news from us!  Ryan goes back to school tomorrow so I am sure I there will be a very weepy post to come :(
